Day 13
Droplet Generation in Commercially Available Chips and Pressure-based Flow Control
We tested another droplet generator (manufacturer: microfluidic Chipshop) with an interesting geometry and pressure-driven flow control. The width of the microchannel was 100 µm. The droplets were formed under conditions of the continuous flow. Two phases were used for droplet formation: distilled water and sunflower oil.
For setting up the system and tuning the pressures we needed about 20 minutes. The videos document our very first experience with this microfluidic chip.
